Light in the darkness

Sometimes things just don't fall into their places. I mean you just hate life...and then you go and sit one stupid exam and feel better. Well maybe it hasn't happened to you but I felt so great after funds mgmt exam. Whether it's good or very good ;) I don't care. It blew some sunshine to my life.

As you wonder what the fuck I'm yappering about I'm enjoying my three weeks off! Actually I have to decide whether or not I'm going do (and type with one hand) a research project. Or should I drop it and take something else. And if I do decide to do it I'll have to start it. So it's really not any vacation. Hmmm...maybe I travel a bit but I'll come back to that later.

Hear ya!

Ahoy,hoy

I bought a phone today. Used one but still, two months without one is too much. Even though I don't have any friends...snif ;)
I also booked an appointment for a physio, in Blacktown. So next four weeks I'll be spending there. Just once a week, though. My fingers are a bit better already but I don't want to take any chances with them. Plus my travel insurance will cover it.

Other than that I have no news. I still live a boring, crippled life. Good night.

Not so nice day

Today's been bad day. First of all, before I went to sleep, somebody broke into my friends room and stole his computer. Now that's bad. Then in the morning I was supposed to wake up 6.30 and catch 7.18 to hospital. What happened? My stupid alarm clock didn't work or at least wake me up.So I woke up, ironically, 7.18 and rushed to the train station. Just to find out that only the ticket vending machine worked, not the one inside the booth. And queue was loooooong. So long that I missed the 7.48 train. And the next one that came was slow train...

I finally made to the hospital and everything ran pretty smooth in there. They took off my stiches and recasted my arm, this time for a month. It's looking alrigth they told me. I have to start physiotheraphy though, my fingers aren't really ok. Very stiff would describe them better.

When I came home it started to rain and the Simpsons episode wasn't new one. So pretty bad day, although I did managed to study while on train. Good on ya mate!

edit: I also forgot to take my camera with me to the hospital. I had in mind to take a pics of my hand :) And finally I read this...snif.

Getting cold...hrrrr

Now, before you read this whining bear in mind that I've been exposed to very warm weather. And for a long time (I could still enjoy it, please). So don't hate me ;)

It's chilling, +21C is chilling. And in the evening it goes into region of +10 to +12 degrees. Low 20s is something you get during Finnish summer and it's fine then. But having high 30s or more during the summer gives you false sense of comfort. It must come down...snif.

Lucky me I have my woolen socks and pullover.

It's time for Footy!

Yep, the season is starting. Rugby (League) started last weekend and I even watched the Friday Night Footy and parts of Sunday's game. But Aussie Rules is what I like, yes sir. Swannies didn't do that well in pre-season Wizards Cup but they'll lift their game. And next Sunday I'll be in SCG for the first game, I don't even have to skip classes 'cause it's off-weekend. Great!

The season start also means that The Footy Show on channel Nine is back on air. Most of you don't know what the heck I'm talking about but it's the wackiest and funniest sports magazine shows on TV. Just crazy. And what's best...there's show for rugby and later on for AFL (later on night 'cause it's not for kids ;) )

Me, myself and Law

Well, the exam is over and so is my quest for gold. I will pass the unit and with enormous luck might even get credit but it won't give a great sense of a accomplishment. I really sucked in that test, perkele. I did study, I was prepared and eager...something just didn't click tonight. For shame...

Recovering and healing

This actually sucks. For a while it was, if not cool, something new for me to break my wrist. Never done it before. Now I really hope I hadn't done it. It sucks to have continuous pain in your hand and not be able to do all the things you want to. Having said that I must say people are nice to me (must be the pity factor) and I even got a new friend:

I haven't named him/her so I'm open to suggestions, not that anybody's going to write any comments. But in theory, you know, you could...

Cut and paste

I got home from the hospital today afternoon. Even though it hurts like putting your balls to an elephant pit it's still better than it used to be. I have antibiotics and lots of pain killers, hopefully they'll do the trick. The wrist will be beatiful when the cast is off, lots of scars :) Lest we not forget...

Cry or laugh...?

I've been silent for a long time. No particular reason, just a lot of different ones. I start with nice ones. As semester starts do this semester brougth a lot of new and nice people here. Also few old ones whom I wasn't expecting. So I've been busy meeting these people and catching up. Plus we've played volleyball 3-5 times a week!
I also had my law assignment which turned out to be good, 80%. So I still have chance for HD and should get at least distinction. Of course it requires studying for the exam but I've grown to like law...who would've thought?

And now for the misfortune. I broke my wrist abt week ago and, nothing major I thougth but, it is really fucked. The docs at the first time didn't obviously fix it properly and I have operation on Thursday morning. It's gonna be 2 months with cast then wires off and at least a month more. That equals rest of my time here. After that it takes time to heal and recover up to 3-9 months. Life's a bitch, eh?
