Back in business (studies)

Yep. The train arrived in Sydney only three hours late on Saturday. So we missed three hours more school that day. Law unit...but I must say that the lecturer is very good and the unit itself is, hmm, pretty okay. Wouldn't thought to see this coming but maybe it's because of the different legal system they have here compared to ours.

Anyways, the trip was awesome. Central Australia is very beatiful in its own harsh way. I mean it's desert area but I learned that it doesn't mean just sand dunes and rocks. Well you'll see. I have to complete the diary I was writing to share the moments with you. I also have to go through the pics. I took some 200 and Axel maybe 300 so there's lot to show.

And yes, I'm getting closer to that deadline of being young...28 years and still immature. Let's keep it that way. ;)

Dry Adelaide

Greetings from Adelaide!

It's dry here...at least we haven't found any bottle shops! Holy cow! Luckily there are pubs, not that we go there...well, only to drink moderately, like they say in trains.
The trip from Sydney to here took some 26 hours! That's abt 1600 kms so you do the calculations. It was a slow progress and even though the train car was fairly empty it wasn't a good sleep, for me. Axel slept (as he is) like a baby ;) But we did see few roos jumping along the train, like you'd see in all documentaries. Other than that...just awful waste of space. Tomorrow we'll continue to Alice and ultimately to Uluru, the red rock.

Over'n out

Stupid weekend

Sometimes everything goes smoothly and sometimes not, the last few days have not. Nothing major but few little things that add up and piss me off. Let's start with the uni: We were supposed to start unit on Friday but no...they called me that morning that it's cancelled because of too few students. Fuck them! Luckily I had heard abt it on Thursday so it wasn't surprise. So I have to pick a new unit and it means most likely that I'll have school until July.
And add +44 degrees on Friday to that...it's insane weather. Fortunately we are going Alice ;) and suffer even more. Hopefully there's at least on one day +50 degrees. What else...I bought spirit stove (Trangia) the other day just to find out that Axel has stove too...But that's actually not too bad because I was really thinking to move my (rather fat) ass and start hiking. So I'll be needing that later on. And I really mean it!

Tomorrow we hopefully hit the beach or else I'll go to some museums. We have atm Sydney Festival here so there's a lot to see, little culture won't hurt...

New year, so something's gotta change...

Note to yourself: start writing more often to your blog.

Sorry for the silence. I guess I'm finally returning from the holidays, literally. The school's on coming weekend and lucky me, the unit should be interesting. So I shouldn't whine abt that. Note to yourself: stop whining to your blog.

The uplifting train trip to Alice/Uluru will start on 19th Jan and we'll be back in Sydney on 27th. And by we I mean Axel and Karl (I call him Lenny). We bought the railway pass that allows us to travel next 6 months by train. Not to everywhere but along certain routes. I'm planning to go at least to Perth and Melbourne but why not traveling to Cairns too (well money is always an issue). We'll see and I'll report.

Other than that...Marika left on 6th and Axel returned on following day. And I'm moving into same unit with Axel and Milan. I'll save 10 bucks a week, have good roomies and what not. And Anthony is moving there too so that was actually the first reason to move. The best thing is that it's being renovated so we should have new furniture and hopefully new telly.

But I'm off now. Drop a line if you will.
