Skittle Bräu

Today I bought a great book or should I say the book.Such a strong words even though I just started it. And I can't even describe the book. It's a book about the Simpsons, a book that digs into the world they live and have created. It's kind of societical study or something. Just check it out:

And yes, it's still unpaid ad, even though it's 40% off. I was considering to apply for advertising program but nah...You wouldn't buy it or other stuff that I introduce anyways. I wouldn't.

I've finally decided my traveling details in January. I'll drop the Tokyo trip, even though I would like to go there, and will get that railway pass. Then at 8th of January I'll head off to the Alice Springs via Adelaide, stay there couple of days and come back. With Axel that is. He's our funny German (actually it's 'Zerman') dude, as we like to call him. The railway pass gives me unlimited traveling for 6 months in pretty much whole Australia. So I might go to Darwin or Perth or Cook, population 2 :)

I'm melting...

It's abt 36-38 degrees. And no, I don't want to know the exact temperature. Plus it seems to be raining a bit...I want snow and cold weather! Or at least air conditioning, that'll be nice.

And please people...

few comments wouldn't hurt anybody, would they? You can comment anonymously but I'd like to verify that there are people reading this. I'm gonna write this anyways so I can read this later on but it's always nice to write to the public. So throw comments occasionally, please...

My two best friends atm

They are energy drinks and the sun. I keep myself awake with a help of former and go to sleep at the same time with latter. And before you ask yourself "what's wrong with him?", I will tell you. The sad fact is that I can't concentrate on studies during days. And furthermore, I have to hand in two papers on Friday evening. I have finished the first one and will start the second one tonight (morning) and finish it within next 36 hours. Then I'm pretty much done. Just one exam but I don't stress about them at all. Actually I had one yesterday and it went pretty well. HD? That'll be splendid but let's not jump into conclusions yet. But it think it'll be. ;)

And in two weeks time two friends of mine will fly all the way from Finland. The boys, Antti&Janne, will stay here (not at Quakers...no way!) for two weeks. We'll rent a car at least for a week and head either to south or north...to the beaches! What else? I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.

AND1 in da house!

Yesterday me, Axel, Ishven, Milan, Carl and Avish went to Sydney Entertainment Center to see AND1. For those who don't know AND1 (shame on you) that's basketball. Kind of show game but those guys are truly kings among us (Simpsons quote). It was great but honestly saying it wasn't spectacular. But worth the dough (35 bucks). Me and Avish came back after the game and the other guys stayed in the City.
Here's some pics and go see the others too.

Today I've tried to write my assignments and there's been some progress, just waiting for breakthrough... ;)

Tomorrow I'm trying to raise the distance in our walking comp. It's starting to get serious. But we'll see. We started a new blog, purely dedicated to that form of stupidity. Go and check it out.

Nice things

Even though the weather was depressing today and nothing major didn't happen it was nice day. I finally received the result for the Strategic bank Management and it was Distinction. I did hope for HD but I am satisfied for D. It was demanding and interesting unit, even though the assignment wasn't very inspirational. But the average is still Distinction or slightly better and hopefully I'll score HDs for the last two units of this semester.

The other nice thing is this:

The most beautiful airplane

Isn't that the most beautiful vehicle ever? I would pay li'l extra to fly with that plane.

And the competition goes on

Yesterday I walked from Blacktown station to campus. Not only to top my (lousy) 2.5 kms but also to enjoy beatiful spring Saturday. It was very nice day altogether: the lectures were great, the weather was great, I walked and I won Billy in chess! I haven't got much sleep lately, I just can't sleep. Well I guess I'll sleep after tomorrow's lectures. And wake up some 16 hours later :)

Anyways here's the route (abt 6.5 kms):

Fcuking great!

As I wrote I'm having a dry month. But not in cola. And that's why I'm still up...it's 7.15 am! I drank few colas and two cans more back here. Now, normally that wouldn't have any effect on me but since I've cut down the cola consumption these abt 2 litres messed my sleep pretty good.

But I gotta try to sleep. I have school today and awful lot of work, so good night/morning/afternoon or evening where ever you are!

A different night

Yes, a different night in so many levels. First (1) I went to a band-night or however you call them. And what kind of band night that was...just metal music. I had promised to a friend of mine (Nick) who's a singer in one of the bands to go so tonight I delivered that promise. I understood couple of words/sentences: fuck, die, motherfucker. The only sentence I picked up was "..die motherfucker!", if you can call that sentence.
The other (2) thing was that I was sober. Not drop of alcohol, not a single one. I've promised myself not to drink before the last exam which is 1st December. Conveniently just two days before the guys come :)

Unfortunately I didn't take my camera with me tonight but I'll get some pics later. And btw Nick's band is called 'Sligthly Building Weapons' if I got it right. They were the best, really. I can actually picture myself in another gig. And that reminds me of one line that Homer said: "A gig. When you're musician the job is called gig."

edit. That Simpsons line gave me an idea and from now on I'm going to have a weekly Simpsons quote. It'll be below the links section (just scroll a li'l bit and on left)

Some Halloween pictures

(you can check whole set here)

Marketing results

As I expected (feared) the Marketing grade wasn't even Distinction but Credit. Now, that's ok as you might remember my previous posts regarding this but I still did hope for better mark. Hopefully that will be only less than Distinction grade since it would be shameful...I'm better than that :)

And will work hard and...you know. The last less-than-distinction grade. I Promise.

The worst nightmare

is that I don't have net connection. And it happened on last weekend. From Saturday afternoon to Monday morning I was off-line, that was horrible. But I lived through!

Anyways, what else? Nothing much, trying to get stuff out of my head to that stupid Word. I've made some progress but I still have a lot to do (lousy me). And as I walked to Wollies yesterday (roughly 2.5 k's) I also started our walking competition. Here's the map:

So I really got to start exercising more not just to perform in the comp but in general too. I'm getting fat...snif
